Great news on the stadium. And now we need to secure the services of Vinnie Jones with his hod and bricks (as he seems to be not longer Hollywood material) to lay the Foundation Stone and take us as far as the damp-proof coarse. Perhaps Sam the Man Allardyce will be purchasing one of our new and lo-cost housing units. Or, perhaps as we slip into a…[Read more]

Joy, ecstasy, relief – just wow! The Dons really are coming home. Only a Judicial Review could thwart us, but the expense and legal reasons to go down that route make it highly, highly unlikely. I think this is really going to happen now. Looking forward to the trip to Coventry even more now. A raucously happy away crowd just needs three points…[Read more]

Woohoo!

Maybe – just maybe – we can start to believe that we’ll have a stadium back where we belong. There is no mention of an appeal process, so I expect there isn’t one and the Minister’s decision is final.
Now if we can only put the icing on the cake…[Read more]

Do you know what? I was at KM yesterday and camne away echoing most of what others have said about the game. Having watched the highlights though, I’ve changed my mind.
Yes Shrewsbury were woeful, especially in the first 45, but they came out in the second half with a point to prove. Ardley had warned the players this was the case, but we didn’t…[Read more]

Just watch the highlights and what I saw Shrewsbury had more of the play, was our play so bad that they cut it all out.Yes its 2 points lost we should have put them under more pressure in the firsthalf and put the game out of there reach, but we are still learning and i think we will get there. Now for Coventry on Wednesday by all accounts they…[Read more]

After last week’s fantastic smash and grab victory at Charlton, a poor performance was to be expected and the team didn’t disappoint, by being disappointing (if you see what I mean).
Personally I don’t think the players were helped by the formation NA employed. I had been hoping that we would try a 4-3-3 with Bulman, Reeves and Parrett together…[Read more]

General consensus is two points lost against Shrewsbury Town (so far) the poorest team to come to KM this season. That said a couple of positives. James Shea again looked good for his second appearance this season (and we need him to do that regularly as the front-line keeper). Some claim he looked confident, commanding his box, claiming crosses…[Read more]

Very disappointing result today. It’s a home fixture against another team towards the foot of the table that could easily qualify as a “must win” in 6 months time. Let’s hope we snatch something at Coventry

I left Nottingham at 1230 and drove 150 miles, rather fast, to watch a dire League Two football match, with equally poor League Two refereeing – and arrived 15 minutes late so missed our only goal. I was already rather upset after settling my daughter in to her new university and saying goodbye to her childhood, so I had rally hoped for a Dons…[Read more]

Shrewsbury at home – a game we should win if we are going to have a good season but a game we often lose. I reckon it will be one of those days today. A home defeat to one of the lesser teams in the division. I just hope I’m wrong. COYD

Windlesham, I may well miss tomorrow’s game – if so, it would be the first home league game I’ve missed this year. I’m taking my daughter up to Nottingham for the start of university; and only if she doesn’t want embarrassing old dad around will I get back in time for the game. If I do make it, I’ll certainly look out for you.
As for the game, I…[Read more]

So next up is Shrewsbury at KM and in my view an important match for us. Four home league games to date have produced three defeats and one victory. However, as the league table starts to take shape it looks as though our defeats have all been at the hands of clubs who will be challenging at the top of the table come the end of the season. The…[Read more]

Well, there’s no doubting that was out of the blue, but in all honesty I don’t think it would have been good for Shea if Clarke had stayed, and by that I mean, that Shea now knows that he has conquered all-comers for that shirt. He has, after all, learned the lesson of making too many faux pas, demonstrated his loyalty and commitment to the club…[Read more]

So Ryan Clarke has gone. Surprised? Yes. Very surprised? Well no. He never seems to build a relationship with the fans, not even in his early games. Maybe it was nerves, or maybe it was a “big I am” attitude. I favour the former, as he never came across as the later. Whatever it was, it was clear that the back four never felt entirely secure with…[Read more]

And now we know where Ryan has gone:

Wow, that was a thunderbolt. Ryan Clarke terminates his contract. He clearly never felt any love at the club, and I suspect the chants of “there’s only one James Shea” at Charlton on Saturday must have been too much to bear for Ryan sitting and listening on the bench. A final nail in the coffin of the horros he’s endured since joining the club.…[Read more]

Well that was a bit of a surprise was hoping for a draw but I’ll take that win. As Rob said i think our diffence looks past it and with out Shea’s 3 or 4 great saves we would have been dead and buried by half time. Next few games which on paper we look like we should win will show if we are a middle of the road team or a team that is going to be…[Read more]

Couple of things watching the Charlton game on Dons Player..
Firstly, great to see James Shea respond so positively to his chance by pulling off some great saves to keep the Dons in the game. Also I’m a bit curious why Neal Ardley decided to promote Shea just two weeks after saying of Ryan Clarke:”We’re going to stick by Ryan Clarke and try to…[Read more]
