Seven points out of of twelve and both Soares and Trotter scoring. Who’d have predicted that before Christmas? Trotter was my MOTM against Southend as well!

So now we go off to enjoy another visit to Wembley. After that it is back to the league and a game against you know who. Win that, and they’re where we are now. Now that would be something to…[Read more]

Overall, a satisfying Christmas period for Wimbledon. I’m sure many would settle for 2 wins, one draw and one loss, plus more goals than our average and a couple of new scorers. In the cyclical nature of results and form for fitba teams, perhaps this is the start of Wimbledon’s upwards swing? Let’s hope so. A quick glance at MK’s results shows…[Read more]

With two games lost in the last three due to dubious refereeing decisions, I have come to the conclusion that it’s a shame we don’t play in the USA, for by now there would have been an investigation into the ‘standards’ (and I use the term advisedly) we are being subjected to. In other nations there would have been cries of bribery and…[Read more]

Very encouraging result last night against a good team. Still a lot to be done but the table is very tight and the Dons do have a game in hand over most teams above them. Would be happy with a point at Portsmouth if we were to win at Gillingham next weekend. And well done Neil Ardley.

Expect the new Chief Operating Officer to be announced this week by the Dons Trust. The COO will help the executive team manage the increased workload resulting from the new stadium project and will report to Erik Samuelson. The person has been serving out his time elsewhere and don’t be surprised if he is an Aussie.

That was never a nil four scoreline game. We may not have been helped by some refereeing decisions, but Neal Ardley was right. It was the lack of discipline that cost us. When Forrester ran 25 yards across the pitch to challenge the ref, he was always going to be walking a tightrope. Throw in the ref’s willingness to add Dons players to his list…[Read more]

The Carlton Cole saga isn’t over until it’s over. Playing in Indonesia is one thing, but playing in League One is another. He obviously needs to get fit before anything can be decided. Even then, if he gets a better offer somewhere else, he’ll likely be off. It would give the squad a boost to have him around, even if it is in the background.

    With…[Read more]

Excellent draw but we need to concentrate on the League for the next few weeks Fancy us to get at least a point tonight v Bury PS Was great to get a picture of Robert and the WDSA banner last week

Woohoo! What a draw, with the added bonus of being able to give Dele Alli some stick.

Just spotted ace football manager (according to his own PR) Karl Robinson slamming his players after their loss yesterday. See http://www.kentlive.news/sport/football/football-news/charlton-athletic-boss-slams-missed-870832. Poor old Naby Sarr gets it fully in the neck. Yes he didn’t have the best of games, but such man management skills will do…[Read more]

So we’re in Monday’s round 3 draw. Who do you want to get? Most seemed to want an away tie against Arsenal or Tottenham (at Wembley of course). Outside choices would be Chelsea or Newcastle away.

Whatever happens in Monday’s draw, there is no taking away the enormity of this win. It was a thrilling cup tie, with both sides going for the win.…[Read more]

Looking forward to our annual WDSA dinner tonight in Adelaide Hoping Robert can tell us all how Wimbledon are going to rise up the L1 table

That’s a bit of a gamble if true. OK 24 goals is excellent, but League One is not the Isthmian Premier.

sorry for the inactiveness (is that a word) ive had a lot on at the moment but seeing as im a rumour account on twitter ive also seen a rumour of interested in Hendon fc striker niko muir who plays for Hendon in the ryman premier- from quite a trusty and reliable twitter account but can anyone see this or have you heard of any other rumours maybe?…[Read more]

Another hard fought point against an in form team. Only two shots in 90 minutes and none on target, speaks volumes for how lucky we were. Call it a fine defensive display if you like, but I’d just call it lucky. Still a point is a point. Whisper this quietly. 20 points and still not even at the end of November. Just a couple more results and we…[Read more]

Will the real AFC Wimbledon please stand up. Could we just be starting to see the hard work pay off in recent weeks. Last week we got a good point against a play off contender. This week we win emphatically away, admittedly against a woeful Rovers team. If we get something from Tuesday against Oldham and beat Walsall, we could just be talking…[Read more]

Well that was not what I was expecting! A really impressive away performance creating a hatful of chances and missing all but 3 of them! But to score 3 cracking goals was sensational. I was really impressed. It was the best performance I have seen for a while – especially in the final third. Not necessarily in terms of finishing- 2 open goals…[Read more]
