What Instagram pictures Windy? When did they appear, what did they show? I’m not on Instagram to know or see. But I have been struggling to rationalise why Pinnock in particular doesn’t get more game time, and why recently Appiah starts ahead of our top scorer Pigott. McDonnell has been at fault for conceding two set piece goals in the last two…[Read more]

Very well put, Rob. After last night’s ‘carbon copy’ performance of so many others I would be surprised if the manager lasts beyond the weekend. I expect the end of Saturday’s game to see him say farewell to the crowd, in much the same way as Terry Brown did six years ago.

The Instagram pictures of King, Pinnock, Pigott and Wordsworth on the…[Read more]

I said after the Bradford Tuesday night defeat in September that it was a time for head before heart. Four defeats since then, only one goal scored and seven conceded, yet the heart still dictates to our very great cost. It really does feel
like head in the sand times.

We played ok last night, but as Ardley says time and time again players ar…[Read more]

Think it’s now a matter of when not if Neal Ardley is replaced as manager after yet another horrible yet predictable result to fellow relegation rivals Bristol Rovers. There were reports of a tearful Ardley after the match, heightening speculation that he was about to quit, but a subsequent interview on BBC London didn’t back that up. Basically,…[Read more]

Best of luck to Singapore and all the other travelling supporters tonight. I hope your faith is finally repaid by the squad and management and we can bring back something to give us some hope ahead of Saturday’s visit of Luton…

Obviously, I trust that we will also have some scouts at the Corinthian Casuals v Haringey Borough fixture to have a…[Read more]

Having changed the line up and found no more heart, nor desire than has been shown all season, I believe that two poor results this week, at Bristol and at home to Luton, will see the manager depart.

The same comments can be made for yesterday as for many matches this season. Once again we gave away an appalling goal after 6 minutes, and from…[Read more]

PS The other big downer from yesterday is that Plan B failed. Windy’s and many of ours calls for team changes including dropping Trotter failed to deliver. It was same old, same old. Is there a Plan C?!

Resignation. No not Neal’s. Mine, to the ongoing woes and ineptitude scarring our Dons world. It’s really sad, but I’ve slightly given up on the hope now. We all know it only kills you, and enough is enough. I didn’t go to Blackpool, thank goodness, so can’t comment beyond saying that from the stats and radio commentary we demonstrated again tha…[Read more]

Wow! I can’t believe it – it looks like 4-3-3 with just Appiah in place of the ill Pigott different from my wish.

If we lose 5-0 then it is all my fault!

    COYD!!!

My take on that particular rumour is that it is bar talk, initiated by one of the vocal “Ardley Out”ers. However, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Ardley was feeling pretty down after Saturday and during a post match wash up meeting with Erik pondered over whether he could take the team any further.

I’m sure Erik would have given him backing,…[Read more]

just seen and been told that apparently ardley handed in his resignation but the club rejected it! no idea how true this is but if so then bit of an odd one and surely that would just add value to ardley?

Well, break out the ‘Crazy Gang’ videos… Get Anthony Wordsworth to grab somebody’s nuts, and teach NA to shout “Kick the bl**dy ball” in traditional Kinnear fashion and all will be well…. just so long as Trotter and Soares are not ambling around midfield when the ball comes back at us. Frankly Wagstaff, Hartigan, and Pinnock look vastly…[Read more]

Thanks for the heads up on the terminology, Rob. Although not fussed whether Ardley stays or goes, I never felt that his sacking was imminent. Certainly with a Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday set of fixtures coming up, those believing he would be sacked after Saturday weren’t being realistic.

Of more interest to be is that in a couple of interviews…[Read more]

What’s the key word in this unsourced piece from the Evening Standard?

Neal Ardley will be given time to turn things around at AFC Wimbledon.
Wimbledon are just outside the League One relegation zone after three straight defeats and Ardley admitted he is under growing pressure after Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Portsmouth.
But it is understood W…[Read more]

If there is one thing we should all learn about the first half against Pompey, it was that starting eleven should never have started. Like Windlesham, it was clear that a change of formation and a more robust approach almost made the difference. Against a weaker team, we’d have got something out of that game. Trouble is we can’t keep giving the…[Read more]

As we say farewell to yet another gallant defeat, I feel that there may be a glimmer of hope in our second half display.

For me, today proved once again that this squad isn’t good enough to play passing football. Trotter and Soares in the centre of the park are too slow and too negatively minded to create anything going forward – their…[Read more]

Even during last seasons lows… and there were too many to count, I would still sign up to idontfollow, or, if at work, run a sneaky check on the Live updates when I could.
Yet today, I just don’t have the heart to even bother checking until I get home tonight around 10pm GMT.
For someone who has followed the club since 74/75, I think that’s…[Read more]

Despite the wonderful prospect of returning home and to a sparkly new ground in Plough Lane, I find it very difficult to be optimistic about how things are going at the club at the moment.

Obviously, we seem to have the ‘deja vu’ on field issues, which the management team do not appear to be able to solve, but the problems in my view run deeper…[Read more]

  • Is it time for a change at the top. Being a Don for over 50 years now I’ve seen it all the very highs and some lows. Have we been to good for our own good coming up though the leagues and our younger supporters only know the highs and want it straight away. Yes and no,am i looking too far back and should i be saying N A out we all know he loves…[Read more]
