I think it’s about time to remember Barnstonworth United. Compared to them, our plight isn’t half as bad. Just look at the first 7-8 minutes to cheer yourself up 🙂

So, a poor performance against Haringey and the guvnor may be doomed? Looks like we’ve reached the point of no return. Shame really, as I don’t think the manager should always take the full blame for the performance of the kids underneath. You can only work with what you’ve got. Pay peanuts and you get monkeys, Mr Chairman. Such bad timing when…[Read more]

Take the positives. We scored a goal and we’re not bottom of the table, but that’s it. The players tried hard, but came up short again. We were good in the first 45 without being outstanding, but for all the pressure and possession, we didn’t really have that many chances. Hanson scored a goal and the Shrews didn’t seem to show any real threat.…[Read more]

I hope Ardley’s career is not terminated because of Shrewsbury and/or Stevenage. Talk about two non-entity places to move to a gloomier future. Is the club supporting him to the best?

Hi Guys :
Sorry I’ve been inactive for such as a long time. I have however followed the events of the past two months on the fb account and can say that I have never seen such a stream of vitriolic abuse directed towards one man (Neal Ardley) and his team as well as the board and I am totally sick of it. This bad run in my book has really…[Read more]

The greatest danger to the club might well be a rotting apathy. Expectations at games are zero, fans are numb to defeats and less angry now because there are no hopes any longer to be dashed. There’s a general air of resignation to failure. The will to fight on and off the field is diminishing it seems. The malaise is palpable. All this is r…[Read more]

Eric’s statement was interesting on a couple of levels.
- It appears to have come about because of supporter unrest at the radio silence. Surely it should have happened organically without the need for the fans to let their feelings be known. This does somewhat back up the feeling that the FCB and DTB are aloof from most of the fan base.

Well, there you have it… Eric has spoken.
https://www.afcwimbledon.co.uk/news/2018/october/an-update-for-supporters-from-ceo-erik-samuelson/It’s clear from this that a change of management is not imminent. Yet, many will continue to believe that, contrary to Eric’s statement, NA HAS lost the squad’s respect and needs to go. (The twitter feeds…[Read more]

Here is an item of discussion that was doing the rounds on Saturday. Were we right to reject recent transfer requests for players? Let’s say we were offered £500k for Oshilaja, couldn’t we have done some better transfer business? Same with players like Elliott and Taylor. Should we have let them go when clubs like Charlton and Millwall initially…[Read more]

There is a dangerous drift permeating our club. Six straight defeats, players accused by coaching staff of letting down their manager, an inexorable slide into the relegation zone amid fears of being cast adrift from the rest of the league and the manager seemingly helpless to arrest the slide. And then there’s the emotional toll it’s leaving on…[Read more]

Today’s game had a strange atmosphere. Before the game, and until we went 1-0 down, Neal Ardley’s name was repeatedly chanted in a positive way. It seemed like the majority of fans were willing to let him get us out of this almighty mess.
That all changed with the goal. It was a sloppy goal really. Our midfield went missing – where did we hear…[Read more]

A very good question Windlesham.
My gut feel is that the youngsters in the group (ie Piggott) are being led by someone else within the group. I want to point the finger at either King or Wordsworth. People like Piggott have pretty much hit the big time in their career… he must know he’s the only one scoring, is popular with the fans etc etc.…[Read more] -

So a question for you all: How do you think the club/management team should handle the 4 rogue squad members who have presumably broken club drinking rules?
The hard line would be to terminate their contracts (and send King back to Millwall with a black mark against his name). However, the new loan window rules would mean that none of those…[Read more]

We are only 4 points behind where we were last season. Even if we lose the next game that gap remains. Hardly panic stations, i.e. we’ve always been a bit shit. Ditching the gaffer Ardley would be a big mistake. “Down with the Palace, you’r going down with the Palace” and all that. The malaise would seem to emanate from some of the immature…[Read more]

What’s sad to me is that I’ve stopped caring about the results of games I can’t attend. I’ve an air of acceptance of an early goal caused by a defensive mistake, followed by countless wasted chances, and a breakaway goal to complete the defeat. That way should we gain a point, it seems so much better.
We’ve said in the past that the AFCW Board…[Read more]

Rob, as John says, such drinking and ill discipline would explain the sidelining of the four players. The drinking might also explain Pinnock’s inability to last 90 minutes on the pitch, and could well explain why Pigott was reportedly throwing up at half time against Portsmouth! Perhaps he wan’t sick, just badly hung over 🙁
Whatever the tru…[Read more]

Most disturbing if true and in context….
King, pinnock, wordsworth, pigott. Instagram stories literally 3 times a week. They love a Sunday session which I assume is the night before training… I'm not one to piss on a parade but when you're doing shit at work you tend to avoid nights out the day before it… pic.twitter.com/Q6ZMLqA5PM

Thanks for the steer John. It really would explain the inexplicable sidelining of Pinnock and Pigott, and Wordsworth if injury is not the real reason there. King I think was dropped because he was performing poorly, though after McDonnell’s costly errors I wonder if King may reappear.
One point to add from last night. There was no booing or d…[Read more]

Pete – Have a look at a WUPGB post from Wazza at 08:43 this morning. It is a link to a forwarded tweet of an Instagram picture apparently posted by Anthony Wordsworth. The responses to the tweet are interesting.
This could of course all be smoke and mirrors, but putting 2 and 2 together, we arrive at 4 – the 4 squad members who definitely…[Read more]
