If it is any consolation Devon, not being able to watch the final 10 minutes of the game was arguably a blessing. In fact I think spending the entire afternoon in bed would have been a better use of my time. Meeting up with the WDSA massive was a bonus though. They even got a call out at half time on the PA!

We all said after the game that we…[Read more]

Watched the second half on ifollow and Jesus we were crap besides long in goal who made a couple great saves from what I saw but where was the defence and the midfield and then what’s happened to appiah and why are we playing the style of football that suits tom Elliott when we have appiah and McDonald up front who are both smallish

Well that was a depressing performance! The best thing in the day was meeting up with messers Nolan, Kenwery and McAndrew of the WDSA collective, but sadly there was very little fat to chew after a performance from the Dons bereft of ideas.

Difficult to pick the bones out of 90 minutes where the opposition strolled to victory, but for me the…[Read more]

Having watched my first match via ‘ifollow’, I offer this perspective.

IFOLLOW: It took several frustrating minutes to get the live link to fire up. Finally I resorted to their on-line ‘chat’ tool, which, I have to say, was prompt and accurate with the advice. Annoyingly, the advice was to wipe out just about everything from my google chrome…[Read more]

Thanks windlesham it’s a shame that we aren’t playing well- atleast that’s what I’m seeing on twitter

Happy birthday Rumours – don’t drink too much tequila! Let’s hope a birthday lifts Kwesi out of his current slumbers as well, he’s been very disappointing so far.

Devon – I don’t get the security around watching abroad. Surely the match passes should be aimed at UK fans who are on holiday? Forcing them to pay with a local bank account is…[Read more]

Not only is it kwesis birthday it’s also mine turning the very old age of 18 hopefully the dons can give me a win for my present

    Yup it is Windlesham.
Unfortunately for all fans in the UK the system has two checks. One you can work around (by using a VPN in a foreign country, they won’t know the Internet IP address of your location, but this does have inherent risks.) The second works for them because card numbers and Bank Accounts are identifiable by country of issue.…[Read more]

Devon – Is the only option to pay for the Match Pass via a local bank account do you know?

  • Devon Womble replied to the topic The Lounge in the forum WDSA Forum 8 years, 8 months ago

ifollow is not the easiest to ‘follow’ even from abroad gentlemen. Living in South Carolina, USA, I can of course get a Match Pass, and most but not all live matches.
However, it seems that to get a Match Pass, there is no hard and fast rule when the option appears on the ‘Match Centre’ screen. So far it has appeared a week beforehand but…[Read more]

Just been informed by someone who has tried it, that to purchase a match pass you need to have an overseas bank account!! Madness if it is true, but the sort of organisation we have come to expect from the EFL!

Let us know how you get on…

Rumours – Just for you (and for me when I go on holiday) I have on to the iFollow Helpdesk and they told me the following:

As your subscription is UK based then you do not get live matches when overseas (probably one of the reasons that a UK subscription is £45 and an international one is £110). However, when you are abroad you can purchase i…[Read more]

Liam – Looking forward to it.

And so to tonight, and never good news to have your first injury crisis one game into the competitive season!

I was slightly concerned starting the season with three important squad members out (Charles, Meades and Soares), but to pick up another two injuries in the first game (Abdou and Trotter) is a worry.

    Centre…[Read more]

No worries, Windlesham. Have got my ticket in advance, so will aim to get there by 6.30pm.
Have taken your number, so will text you my UK mobile.
PS I am short and fat 😁, probably wearing a home shirt under a red jacket!

Cheers Liam, I will have a look in the bar for you when I arrive. I have no choice other than to drive and so I will aim to get there early to allow for all the transport issues!

I am scrawny, mid-50s, greying hair, about 5’10” and wearing my ‘watermelon’ away top!

I will try and get there around 18:30-18:45 and will be in the middle bar if you…[Read more]

Having arrived on Tuesday evening, it was a long away trip for my first game. Went up on the Supporters Coach organised superbly by Laurence.
Very enjoyable day out. The Dons were well their point and the common consensus is that we could and should have won. Indeed I overheard a few Scunny fans say “We were lucky to get a point” which sums up the…[Read more]

A point away to promotion contenders will do thank you very much, but we could so easily have got all three. If Lyle Taylor had been match fit, perhaps he’d have got two goals, Robinson had a header cleared off the line, and there were other missed chances.

By all accounts the new signings all did well. Perhaps McDonald was a little subdued, but…[Read more]

So the first day of a new season is upon us. If we can get anything out of Scunthorpe then I will see it as a bonus – they are a good side and should be in and around the playoff places come April.

The odd thing about this season is that us UK-based non-travellers will be relying on you guys for informed opinion on the game! I hope that some of…[Read more]
