I’d quite like Man Utd at home. It would be a delight to see Mourinho’s miserable sulking face at KM, and the way they’re playing this season, I’d fancy our chances. After that, then I’d take Arsenal away. Knowing our luck this season though, we’ll get Guiseley away, with the game switched to 12pm on a Sunday!

Being a Wimbledon fan at the moment seems to be both worrying and exciting in equal measure.

Worrying because we are 7 points adrift of safety, still do not have a manager and the expected appointee does not have a track record of managing in League 1. IMO we desperately need a change of playing squad in January, including at least 2 leaders on…[Read more]

It’s been a shitfest so far (at least on social media), but expect some clarity on the announcement of the new manager, hopefully early this week.
Close friends have shed some light as fans (on social media) get wound up over the delay and make wild assertions….

    And this from long-time…[Read more]

Walking past the dressing room yesterday after the game, and you could hear the lads were buzzing. And rightfully so. That second half was as good a 45 minutes as we’ve seen in awhile. Yes both our goals had elements of luck, and Southend were a shadow of their early season form, but who cares. A win is a win.

That said, the result only papers…[Read more]

Got to the ground had an enjoyable pint with Andy Vanstan of the immortal Southampton crying picture. The Donny fans were friendly, a nice club. Inside the ground things were quite muted. It was like we were a bit shell shocked from the events of this week, so attempts at songs fell on deaf ears. There was some fight early on from AFC and the…[Read more]

Come back Ardley. I’m a bit surprised that the club let him go. I doubt anyone else can save us. We can blame managers all we want, but surely the players must also face the music. I doubt Bassey is the Great White Hope. He has been around enough to stamp his authority as well, and we are nowhere. I wonder if the next gaffer will be tempted by a…[Read more]

Oh dear, we really are in serious trouble. Our current players are clearly just not good enough. They lack the fight, the passion, the staying power to overcome adversity. We miss the experience and leadership of Charles and Fuller at the back, the buzzing energy and grittiness of Reeves and Bulman in midfield, and the prowess and power up front…[Read more]

I for one would like to see him offered the opportunity to say goodbye properly at a home game. The treatment he got from a small minority at the end of the game last Friday was nothing short of appalling. He deserves so much more than that.

Must admit I was more surprised at the news than I should be. I thought the board were going to stick by him through thick and thin, but then again maybe he had his own mind set by the end.
Like Dave Anderson and Terry Brown before him, he brought the club forward and for that, we should be grateful. I hope he will be made welcome back at KM like…[Read more]

Well, so long Mr NA. You did give us some good times and some great times and despite my frequent frustrations with your methods and decisions, you will be respected as the man that got us to L1. But I also think you probably did more to our internal structure than we may ever know. If you have a crowning achievement in your time with us then, I…[Read more]

Agree 100% Cape Cod. You weren’t at the game on Friday, but there were a sizable minority of our fans singing, “You’re not fit to wear the shirt” for about the last ten minutes – until we scored that was. Plus some fans showed their frustration to the players as they came over after the game. That was probably the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Well my post was an hour too early.

NA has resigned and I’m a little surprised at that in the end. It will be interesting to hear his reasoning but he did state that if we lost to Haringey that he would probably go (or be sacked) and I suppose a replay would have meant the same thing. As is was, a 90+4 win on BBC was probably enough to tip…[Read more]

Didn’t see the Haringey game on Friday night. The pub I went to insisted on showing the Sheffield derby instead.

Well we got through and the money will come in handy but I’m wondering if any of it will go towards the January transfer window. As I said I think the club needs 200k to parachute NA, Cox and Bassey and I’m sure that as prudent as…[Read more]

Talking to a Haringey fan before the game, I gave them more than a 50-50 chance of getting something from the game. How close I was. Playing the game away, on a 3G pitch and in terrible conditions, it was never going to be pretty.

We started brightly taking the game to them, but the old problems remain. We pass sideways WAY to much. Play is so…[Read more]

Little sign of turning the corner in the undistinguished last gasp 1-0 FA Cup win over Haringey Borough, 18th in seventh tier Isthmian League Premier Division, but a positive: £67k TV + £36k prize money + 1/3 of last night’s gate (2,710) to go with £10k for progressing in the Checkatrade Trophy. Don’t know if Neal Ardley will be around then but…[Read more]

OK. We need to take stock, especially in light of Dirty Dave’s comments a few days ago. Basically we are not very good at the moment, in fact we’re quite shit. But we scrapped our way to a win this morning, when everything pointed to a classic FA Cup upset. Comments on the FB page have become ridiculous. Never thought anything could be worse than…[Read more]

The BBC has exclusive access to all FA Cup games at the moment, so expect unless there’s a Don’s fan with an illegal live video feed, you’re stuffed. Guess you could always try iWollow if they cover cup games.

    Martin,

I have checked the Saturday morning (AEDT) TV listings, BeInSports and ESPN and it is not scheduled, so suspect no FA Cup coverage in Australia. (Maybe a blessing!)

  • Anybody know if the game is on the tv in OZ on Saturday morning
